How CalcNator converts currencies

The converter obtains latest-available reference rates from the external exchange-rate service identified above. It converts the entered amount from the selected source currency to the selected target currency using the rate returned by that service.

Reference rate vs the rate you actually receive

A bank, card network, exchange bureau or money-transfer service can apply a spread, service fee, commission or its own rate. For that reason, a reference conversion is useful for comparison and planning but may not match the final amount charged or received.

Rate timing

The open data endpoint used by this page updates periodically rather than providing tick-by-tick trading prices. The status area displays update information when it is available from the provider.

Privacy note

The amount and selected currencies are used in your browser for the calculation. The page contacts the exchange-rate provider to obtain rate data, so this tool is not fully offline.
