Use simple BMI and daily-energy estimates with clear explanations of what the numbers can—and cannot—tell you.
The health tools on CalcNator are intentionally limited to general screening and estimation. BMI uses height and weight; it does not directly measure body fat or diagnose health. The calorie calculator uses an equation plus an activity multiplier; it cannot measure your metabolism or replace individual clinical advice.
Use these results as starting points for understanding the formulas. For medical decisions, nutrition treatment, pregnancy, eating disorders or other health concerns, personalised professional guidance is more appropriate than a general-purpose calculator.
Read the BMI and Calorie Estimates guide for a detailed discussion of limitations.
